my low beam is good but i think the high beam is just f***in awful and usless. when i turn my high beam on i get what looks like a halo. it lights up the trees and the sides of the road but directly in front of me is a big dark spot......you know, the direction that i need to see because im going that way. i can't see nothing in the middle of the light, so ijust use my low beam which is pretty good, but somtimes i would like a little more light. I do about 60% of my riding at night. I posted this complaint a couple of months ago and no one replied. I thought i just needed glasses.
Ciebe makes e-spec reflector/lense units that are simply the best on the market. I've been using them on old bikes bikes for a few years with impressive results. I'll be replacing my Dyna's reflector with a Ciebe real soon. These things turn night into day and the high beam illumination is amazing. Add a true e-spec H3 bulb and you are all set. Daniel Stern is a PHD in motorcycle lighting....check his stuff out or call him.....
I got to get one of those. Not only would the lighting be perfect, but on road trips you could take it off, remove the lens and use it for a bathtub.[sm=grinangel.gif]

Actually in the day time I use it for a helmet, works GREAT just put some foam in and I made a chin strap out of
and old chain.
Here's another vote for Daniel Stern and Cibie lighting. Replaced the stock HD headlamp from my '04 with one of Stern's units and bulbs, difference is very noticeable. A set of passing lamps hooked up to work with the hi and low beams help out also.
Good lord, did you steal that thing from a lighthouse?

Nope it is a 7" HD shell from a Fat Boy. Everyone is talking retro, old school and
the bobs. If you look at the pictures of these bikes including British ones they had
huge head lights at the time because they required large reflectors and had low power
headlamps in them.
I personally think it looks more old school with the larger head light and it balances
out the bike. The dinky little shell on the stock bob seems out of place to me.

My high and low beam works real good especially the high beam !
