Your choice. Poly is the better way to go.

I tried some poly, but went back the the stock rubber - bars move a bit more, but the vibration is dampened better.

I put poly bushings on my bikes the first time I remove the bars for any reason. Ran my Street Glide for about 1k miles with the stock set up then switched out the bushings when I went to black bars. Even keeping the stock sized bars I noticed a difference. Not a big difference but definitely an improvement. When I put the 16's on my Dyna I swapped out the bushings and there was a huge improvement.

There's something to be said for bars that will not move when you put some a$$ into it, although with only 6" risers...I'd say you can probably stay with rubber and be fine.

If you were going to high apes, then it's poly. No question about it.

Blackpearlfan,

Instruction sheets for the handlebar polyurethane riser bushing kit p/n 56165-03 are in the database........

Please take note of the torque specs: "For all other Models, tighten the two hex head screws to
144-180 in-lbs (16.3-20.3 Nm)".
