i'm running 2-2 samson streetsweepers on my '08 street bob. i put the pipes on with the stock a/c and have run it for about 1000 miles so far without tuning it, running a power commander or any sort of fuel management system.
i'm happy with the sound i get from the pipes, but sometimes it's a little whiny and i'd like a deeper note from my pipes.
my question, finally, is this winter as i will be changing my a/c for a forward facing spike style, installing BCT monster baffles, and having the bike dyno tuned (and perhaps running a PCIII) can i expect the note on my pipes to deepen and perhaps get louder?
Can't comment on the addition of the air filter and baffles. It might really depend on the model of street sweepers you have. My old Springer had a set of original BG street sweepers with no baffles on it and they sounded freekin awesome. My cousin bought a set of BG3 for his 07' WideGlide and they sounded like ****. It sounded like a Honda. No matter what he did he could not get it to sound right. A guy he rode with told him he needed to get the older verson of the street sweepers like the BG2. He finally tracked down a set and installed them and it sounded alot better. It actually sounded like a Harley.
The Monster Baffles are supposed to give you that deep throaty sound. I thought about getting some for my Cobras and seeing how they sound and perform.
