Default GERBING Gloves Connection Question

Ready to order the new Gerbings and not sure if I should buy a connection to connect to battery tender plug or wire straight to battery.

Any help with feedback and exact connection from their site is appreciated.

Thanks, Brent-

All Gerbing products come with a battery harness that has a round 'barrel' connector. They also sell a short adapter cable that has a barrel on one end and an SAE connector (the kind that came with your Battery Tender) on the other. The barrel connector is much easier than the SAE to mate when attaching to the bike.

So here's what works really good for me:
  • Use the Gerbing supplied battery harness on the bike (no need for the harness that came with the BT).
  • Put SAE style two pin connectors on all of my chargers.
  • Put SAE on my two boat batteries.
  • Hook-up my heated gear using its native connector.
  • Use the Gerbing adapter to hook-up Bat. Tender or full charger.
Now everything is interchangeable!

I have both the batter tender pig tail & the Gerbings (HD) pig tail. The battery tender is in back, near the battery & I would find that inconvenient for plugging in my controller for my gloves. The pig tail for the gloves is stashed under the seat in warm weather. When the weather gets cold, I pull it out and it sticks out the front of the seat on the gas tank. Much easier to reach down and plug or unplug when I am sitting on the bike.
