Are the bags a quick detach style? Are you going to throw on a fairing or a windshield? (so many questions!)

Yes, what did you and Surfor use to hang your bags?

I bolted the bracket to the docking hardware, only takes a minute to remove them. Once I get them right I may bolt them to the side plate of the sissy bar so I can pop the whole mess on in one shot. I'll get some pics of the backets posted tonight.

looks great man, you may want to bring up the back end or drop the front end a bit so that they are level with the ground, you will not see it so much on top cause it is curved. I had to do this with mine as well after i first mounted them. they look great! must be the abs sporty bags. nice job man!

When I drilled the brackets I was eyeballing them and was sure it was spot on. As soon as I stuck the bags on I realized my eyes SUCK! I'll adjust them this weekend once I scare up some proper hardware for them.

Love the way they look with that front end of yours to balance them out.

Sportster bags. Yes they are.
The full size FLH baggs have to be mounted behind the shock. And that, to me, does not look good. Puts the bag out even or passed the fender. We need a good looking bag of decent size that has a cut out in the front for the shocks.

road king bags have that cut out, but did not look right
mine mounted up fine as FLH bags and i did not think it looked weird with the shocks
if anything moving them any further forward would have looked weird! (sorry for the highjack ackman)
