I want to pick up street bob mini apes for my 06 fxdc and have few questions.
How hard is it wire the bars internally? Any soldering involved?
Can I buy the bars without the holes for internal wiring if I wimp out?

easy to internal wire. just involves removing wires from the connector under the frame. Internal wiring makes a 100% difference so don't wimp out. No soldering will be involved.
A better choice of ape would be the Burly narrow ape. Just looks better than the stock ones in the bends.

I purchased a set of Flanders mini-apes. They are exactly like the Street Bob bars, but are drilled for internal wiring and they are chrome. You can also get Flanders bars which are not drilled. They run about $140.00.
