Default Fat Boy Lo and Fat Bob pricing

I'm torn between a Fat Boy Lo and a Fat Bob -- but before I buy either of them, I'd appreciate knowing what kind of prices others have been able to negotiate. With the end of the year coming up, dealers should be wanting to get rid of inventory.

I'm in South Florida.

Thanks.

I just got a 2009 Fat Bob for $14,100, this number does not include sales tax. Also, I was not charged any other fees such as setup or documentation. I was given 20% discount on any parts and labor for 30 days. I bought the bike in Rhode Island.

Fatboy Lo's are 2010's only, so dealers don't really have inventory to clear. Don't really know how that model has been selling, but usually a new model creates enough excitement that dealers hold out for MSRP + freight, prep, tax, etc. If I was a dealer in South FLorida and I was only getting a small amount of a model, I probably wouldn't be in any hurry to discount it. H-D new models come out in August, so end of the year doesn't mean anything unless a sales manager has calender year targets. The Fat Bob should sell at a lot closer to MSRP OTD. I've heard it said that Orlando H-D is the largest volume dealer in the world. Maybe give them a try.

Don't count on dealers dropping prices. Many that I have visited don't. Anything they don't sell goes into the rental program, gets held over, or is shipped to another dealer. That being said, I am a big advocate for buying used!

You'll get a better price on the dyna but get what you REALLY want...life's too short...and you'll kick yourself everytime you see one ride by if you buy the wrong one.

Default Fat Boy Lo

Well, I thought I might like the Lo better than the Fat Bob because I'm only 5'5" -- but I finally got a look at it today, and it's not for me. It really doesn't feel that much lower than the Bob, and it's almost impossible to get the kickstand up because of the floorboards, which I've never been particularly fond of anyway.

Unfortunately, the only Bobs they seem to have around here have forward controls, and they are so far forward that I have trouble reaching them.

Thanks to everyone for your help -- and if you happen to hear of a good deal on a Fat Bob in South Florida, give me a holler. (I actually prefer to buy used if I can find a low-mileage bike with some warranty left. I got a killer deal on my last bike from a car dealer that didn't know what he had -- LOTS of upgrades with just 600 miles on it.)
