I dont know if i have a problem or not but when i disconnect my batt it shows to have a very slight power draw with all the switches in the off position. Is this norm for the fuel injection? when i reconnect the batt, the speedo needle jumps a little and then settles down. got about 30k in here now.
I don't think that it's fuel injection specific. Do you have the security system? That will draw a small amount of power, plus your speedo draws a little to power the odometer. In case you didn't know, you can leave your power off and hit the odo reset button to get your miles.
So far as I know those are the only two things hot while the power is off.
I dont have a security system but your are right about the odo having power, didnt even think about that. Maybe im just getting old and freakin out for nothing. thanks.
when you say slight power draw what was the amp draw The speedo and clock do draw but very minimal the speedo jumping when you re hook the battery is normal
I say slight draw but i dont have a meter handy, when i hook the batt up there is a very small spark when the connection is made, just enough to let you know that there is a slight draw.
