Default dyna tires

I'm looking to change tires soon. I've used Dunlop 404's on other bikes, would that be a good choice. They are much cheeper than the dunlop harley tires. They worked pretty good on a metric bike I had. Any comments please

No Avon Venom's in 160/70-17 or 180/70-17 until at least 2007. These would be a great fit for the Dyna...

I hear Avon this and Avon that. I have not heard anything about how many miles you get out of one. I know for a fact I can get 10 to 12,000 miles out of a dunlop D401 now most of that is one up riding but, Somtimes some tail rides along too.

You can get the same from an Avon or Metzler. Depends on how you ride or where. They're stickier tires so the may wear faster on really hot pavement. AZ, So Cal, etc

I'm using an ME 880 and the bike rides so much better than the HD dunlops.

Another vote for Metzler here also. ME880 160-80-16 on stock rim. No fitment problems, ride has improved, not as stiff as stock Dunlop.

DGlide.....what year is your bike?
I hace a 2005 FXDCI with the stock 150 rear and was wondering about the ME880's for my bike
did you do both the front & the rear?
If there is no fitment problem I will go with the 160 rear instead of the stock size 150.

I just put on a shinko 180 55 17 and like it alot. It was apperantly a tire that manufacturures put on as a cheep tire but people were so happy with them that they started producing more. I paid $190 up here in canada. They are also about an inch lower.
