powder coating fenders

I am thinking about powder coating my fenders and gas tank are there any draw backs from doing this I want to go with gloss black

I have a lot of gloss black PC on my Shovel and the small scratches and rub marks don't seem to polish out as well as they do on paint.

You might PM Joe, but I think he can also shoot a clear powder over the gloss black. You should be able to sand and polish powder coat just like clear.

you can polish powder just like paint, it is paint... if you would like we also can clear it. we do alot of work for mercedes benz, and they like us to clear over black when we are doing parts, so we do.
but you can polish it just like any paint, it is just tuffer... i have used metal polish and micro fiber on powder then wax to get her to shine like never before... when i polish tanks after powder i do it just like i would if i was polishing out paint, only i can use a bit heavier of a hand with the polisher. let me know if you have any questions
