So the other day I call the local stealer to see if an item is in stock for my Fat Bob and the parts guy says to me " Oh we dont have that because the Fat Bob is a red headed step child of the Dyna line". If that was the case why did they make a CVO model of the Fat Bob. Just thought I would share that with you guys.
The only parts guy I have ever dealt with that I didn't want to climb over the counter and slap the pee out of was fired for making a joke about Obama before he was elected.
Everyone else I've dealt with doesn't know their azz from a windshield wiper.
WOW i didnt know a $15000.00 bike was " a red headed step child" i highly disagree with that one i could probably pick another bike in the harley line up but its defiantly not that one
I've seen this same claim about dyna's altogether when it comes to addon parts. I just don't find that to be the case at all now that I know where to look for parts. And the last place I EVER look for parts is a dealership. I don't even buy their t-shirts anymore. Most dealers have some dyna accessories in stock but never seems to be what I'm looking for. So, if they have to order it for me, I may as well order it myself and save some money in the process, right? I've been in a couple of dealerships that didn't even have a dyna bike in stock, much less decent accessories.
Here is a sad commentary indeed. a guy working for harley davidson puts down one of thier bikes. if i owned that dealership i would string his @ss up. he probably does not even ride a bike as i have found at alot of shops. To save some faith in dealerships, from my travels my friends i ride with love to go get dealership shirts, i do not, i go in and get the dealerships sticker buttons(which some crappy dealerships are doing away with) and put them on my swingarm.. i have visted some crappy, snobby dealerships, but i have also found some that i would go to everyday if i could and were awesome one in particular in clovis, new mexico. so the good dealerships are out there you just have to drive to get to them.

Sadly it seems that you spoke with a complete idiot.
hey sometimes the red headed step child is the hot one in the family... i think its probably the hot rod of the dyna line, but opinions are like @$$holes
