wait to start= check engine light on our newer bikes. You don't actually need to wait to start. The speedo just has a speedo, odo, trip function. With this speedo, you will want to run some led's for the indicator lights. You can purchase the more expensive model which has indicators and tach as well. HLC3015 is the model I believe. Check out the website. I have mine with the old speedo indicator setup. I am ditching the old setup and just will be running 3 small led's for the signals and a neutral switch. The other lights are unnecessary IMHO, of course if you had a fuel injected bike, you would want the low fuel light to still work, and maybe the wait to start. All depends on the operator and his/her personal view towards indicators(idiot lights).
