Want to buy new handcontrols for my fxd.
Somebody knows if it's possible to buy a 3/4"bore master cylinder instead of 5/8"
I have a single disk (5/8") and want to upgrade in the future to dual disk.
First I want to change handcontrols and want to install a 3/4"bore on the single disk. Is this possible without any problems.

Since the master cyclinder is seperate from the hand controls why not leave it until you upgrade to the dual disk.
I would think as long as the system is bled properly there will be no problem.
with the wider bore, there will be less pressure on the system with just the single caliper so his brake will feel very soft until he added the second caliper. There is the possibility that this much less pressure will effect the brake performance. IMHO the brakes will work. Probably not the way he wants them to untill the second caliper is added.

You're partially correct. There will be less pressure on the system, but its gonna take a gorilla to get the front brake to work properly. I made that mistake about 30 years ago, and I promised myself I'd never do it again.
To the OP, wait to upgrade the master until you've installed the twin disks. Unless you have a death wish.
