Default Horn Cover Question

I could have posted in another section but I trust my "Dyna Peeps"!
I got a "Lone Soldier" horn cover for Christmas, the instructions say to remove the seat & disconnect the battery...is this really neccessary just to replace the cover? If any of you have done this, or know, I would appreciate it.

IMO this is H-D @$$ protection & lawyer talk...no need to disconnect battery wires.

No need, just disconnect the wire to the horn, only time there is any power on that line is when you actually press the horn buttom.
