anyone know if the original monster baffles from BCT will fit in my pipes?
i'm running the samson legend series street sweepers and the samson website says that the pipe is 2.5" diameter. i'm wondering if that's the diameter of the pipe or the diameter of the heat shield that's around the pipe.
BCT's website says their baffles will fit in pipes up to 2 1/8 wide.
i'd really like to get the BCT baffles, i want to deepen the tone of my exhaust, and for 80 bucks i don't really think you can beat it.
anyone with any experience on this please chime in.
did some more searching on samson's website and they sell baffles for their hellraiser exhaust (curved V&H big radius clone) and the pipes are 2.5" like mine but the baffles are 1 3/4"
now i'm totally confused.
a call to both companies is in my near future, just wanted to pick the brains of you fine folks first.
Is there any way you can measure the pipe? You need the inside and outside diameter. I just ordered some for my V&H BSS and when I called them they were very helpful to answer any questions.
Pretty much what everyone else said, measure the inside diameter. If it is anywhere from 1 5/8th to 2 1/8th they make ones that will fit. Measure the pipe itself and not the heat shield.

While you're talking to BCT ask them about the QQ series. They are very deep and I would not use the word "quiet" to describe them. I think I spoke to Jim at BCT, he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
When measuring the inside and outside diameters of your pipes, measure the PIPES - not the heat shields. Then call BCT. They will sort you out with no problem.
Call BCT and ask them. They are ninjas and will be able to answer your question definitively. Don't bother asking on here as you'll get about six different answers, none of which make sense.
