Default Neutral light question

looking to replace my idiot lights with led's. just gonna have neutral and turn signal lights. Here's the question. LED's have a wire for the source(+) and neg wire. On my bike the stock neutral light has the neutral wire(tan) and the other wire is orange which is then Teed to the oil light and into the speedo and connector. Orange is the power wire. Will an led work? Do I wire the led to a tan wire and orange wire with no ground?

The turns and beam always have the low side grounded, and illuminate when they get +12V, constant for the beam, pulsed for the turns.

The N and Oil Pressure light work opposite, they always have +12V on the high side, and the lamp comes on when the switch closes to ground on the low side, otherwise there is no current flow thru the lamp and it will not illuminate.

So yes - as JRK say - it's only going to work one way, orange wire to the high side of both leds, other respective wires to the low side.

Make sure u use LEDS made for 12V applications. They have a built in resistor. you can still use raw leds, but you will need to wire a resistor in series - otherwise - pop!

yeah ok I get it. orange to the positive, other color to it's negative. I am using 12v leds with built in resistor.
