The first thing we need to know is "where" you got the photo from. Was it from a Harley Part and Accessory catalog. Was it from a magazine....... that's the real starting point.
The cover is Harley for sure, but I think it's the "CHROME TRIM" piece you're really looking for. It could be something from a specialty or custom catalog that just attaches by 3M tape. It could be something unavailable in the U.S.A. market.
But like I said, the starting point is where you got the photo from to post it for us to see.
+1, Lee....
I've searched for an hour without any result, not even on the CVO models
Ok , I goggled 2009 fat bob and I found this picture,i then cut out the section I needed to show you guys. Its not from the hd catalog, but it is from a 2009 fat bob review. I have also seen the chrome trim piece on brand new fat bob's at the dealership.
its off a superglide custom... you can sometimes find them , usually with the cover on ebay ..... bberck has one on his bike, he may have more info than i regarding a part number..
So it has to be # 65 in attachment (from Bikebandit.com)...couldn't find the part name and number in their database though..
For 2009, my parts manual calls this a "STRAP, cover" (though I'd call it a trim band) that goes on the electrical caddy cover. It's PN 66462-07 and is listed for the FXDC and FXDF.
That part is not listed in the 2010 parts and accessory book....... and a quick google search found one listed by some lawnmower business??? but shows it as a harley part. The other was from bike place in England. Probably has been discontinued. If you do find one.....ya better grab it while you can. In 2008 as soon as their catalog came out, ordered their new "COUNTERBORE" style primary and timer cover from their 2008 parts book........and it had already been discontinued. Go figure
Nice looking trip piece......really jazz's up that cover. I like the look
Thank you all very much for your help.. it was a nightmare for me and that's why I asked you guys ... Im going to ask the dealer for it first up in the morning
