well guys now that winter is upon us, its time to start adding things, you guys probly know alot more than i do so here i am with questions, first thing i have a harley dyna super glide its fuel injected, its a 1450 motor, i want to put a kuryakyn hypercharger on it instead of the normal filter, will this work? and if so do i have to have my bike remaped again i put a diff air intake on it and had it remaped to the high horsepower package. thanks guys
ok let me take this topic in a lil diff direction, i really like the look of the hypercharger and i would like to buy one, based on the facts i have provided wich one do you think would be my best option, as far as hp goes and the main thing is i want to know if this thing is going to destroy my bike, i would rather not have to put a new motor in it seemingly how i just got it this past summer, thanks guys i hope you dont think im a douche for liking how they look, i have never seen a bike with one on it around here so i think it would be awesome

So... like 'Chop advised.... a search will go a long way.
Lot's of opinions:
Mine: You don't need to remap for just an airfilter change.
My next opinion, is that the one you like is the one that needs to go on your bike.
Third opinion: Just an air filter change is going to do nothing for your HP.... okay maybe 3 extra HP at or above 5000 rpm. Will you ride your bike at that rpm... maybe for a few seconds....
yeah ixnay on the hypercharger.... Doherty power pacc!!! two thumbs up. And the A/C will not impact your ride over 5K as stated before(doherty will do more for you). Better off doing exhaust and A/C.
I'll second the don't do it.
I don't know what it is about them. Maybe its that every honda and yamaha you see on the road has one. Maybe its because it doesn't add any more power than some of the replacement air cleaners, unless you replace cams etc.
Just don't do it. Unless you really want to, but it would be a mistake imho
Pictures would help us decide what you need
Also if you already have a different air cleaner why not go with a nice exhaust and remap to match?
well until i can get some pics i have done some things, i put a vance and hines short shot pipes on it and remaped it to the high horsepower package, put spoked wheels on it instead of the mags, forward controlls, diff riser, straight bars and diff cluster i just really like the looks of the charger, and im not really concerned with gettn alot more horsepower
Okay, so it sounds like you've changed your exhaust as well.... so a remap was good to do. However, if it was done by the MoCo... you got a Stage.1 remap.... not really a "high horsepower package"...
If you like the looks of the hypercharger, then put one on. Matters not what we think
