Never replaced or had a problem with the original battery in my 04 Electra Glide and put 30some thousand miles on her before I sold her in late 09. But I ride year round and do believe that has a lot to do with battery life.

If you're going to store it or don't ride at least once a week or more, get a battery tender. $40 is cheap to make sure she starts every time you want to ride.

May I suggest google Deltran Battery Chargers, it's pretty informative.

Thanks to all of you guys that replied to my post. After reading your suggestions and thinking about this, I'm just going to buy a new battery. To be honest, I have not been riding every week year round and I'm sure that has a lot to do with the battery going bad. Not mention that I do not have a battery tender.

Thanks Again
