I just finished installing an accel slm module. Put the big sucker on last week. Bub straight aways should be coming in soon. Once I have them and we get a mild day(no heat in my garage and I'm in Canada) I'll finish everything up. I'll post some pics of the finished product. Of course there won't be any test rides until the snow melts.

The SLM is a tuner, it stands for "self learning module". I don't know anybody around here that's running one. I'll let you know how it works out for me.
And yep that's a busa against the back wall. It belongs to a buddy of mine.
Apparently, Accel Motorcycle Division came out in June 24, 2009 with an ECU gadget for fuel injected Harleys that is "self learning" and will adjust for modifications made to air cleaner, exhaust, etc. It costs around $450 - $500. Here's some info:

It sounds like a PCIII or something like that right? Correct me if I'm wrong but with regular PCIII or SERT the actual module doesn't change right? You just download a new map correct?
I finished the install but I've got a slight problem. The wouldn't start and it keeps flooding the front cylinder. I tried a few times, removed the plugs cleaned them and swapped front to back, same result. I unplugged all the connectors for the accel unit and plugged everything back in normal and the bike fired right up. Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong? On a side note the pipes sound awesome.

straight up the accel module is what is wrong. Did you load a map onto it? It can't work right out of the box without a fuel map. Of course I'm just going on without info here, but there should be specific fuel maps on the website of whomever sold you the unit,or accel directly.
I got it. Seems I bent a pin over in the connector for the crank position sensor. Now it seems to run good. I'll finish putting the heat shields on and post a pic.
