These are nice bags, but not nearly as nice as the leatherpros. What's best about the leatherpros is the mounting system. They use a cam lock system that really cinches the bags up tight. It's as good as having them permanently mounted, with the luxury of removing them in seconds. The problem with Ghost Brackets/EZ Brackets etc, is that due to their design, they simply cannot mount the saddlebags as snugly. In other words, they're gonna rattle a little. YOu can get some of the ratlle out, but not all. Given the choice, LeatherPros are a no-brainer (if you haven't already guessed, I have a set of the 3100's)
I cant find any one on any site that has Leather Pros and don't like them, they must be great saddlebags. Craigstreetbob , be sure to give us some pics when you get them.
My source has called off the deal(guess he was not making too much at original price I paid), but call Jennie at Tri County HD as others have purchased for around 560. Good luck with your bags.
I just purchased the 3100 from my local indy. Paid more than what Jennie had quoted but he has helped me out a few times with advise and some small hardware he did not charge me for. Nice to have him around so I had no problem shelling out some additional money for a good local business.
I ordered the Leather Pros 3100 saddlebags for my 2010 Street Bob at a sick price of 530 dollars and no shipping charged. If anyone is serious about buying these bags (PM) me and I will give you the store and person to ask for. The best price I saw before this price I paid was 560 plus shipping from Jennie at Tri county HD. Spoke with Gary at Leather Pros and they have changed the bag locks which are now part of the bag itself and not a seperate lock anymore. Lastly I will have to relocate the rear turn signal and for safety and visibility sake I will use the Harley kit , but it is ugly with the bags off.
Do you have any photos of the bags on your bike. I am considering buying these bags for my BoB but i dont know what it would look like. With the new chopped fender the BoB have now.
