Gloss scratch on Road 6 custom handlebars?

Gloss scratch on Road 6 custom handlebars?

Hey fellas
Been thinking of getting the road 6 handlebars. They say they are powder coated in gloss black. I have a buddy that is getting a lot of his bike powder coated and was gonna go with gloss black. The shop owner talked him out of using gloss saying it would easily scratch. My buddy said the guy had a piece of metal that was gloss and rubbed it with some cloth and when held up in the light he said you could see the fine scratches. So I was wondering have any of you that have these handlebars had any issue with this? It says flat is available by request. Should I go that route?

gloss black anything will show fine scratches, especially if you just rub a rag on it, flat isnt going to show scratches as easy so i guess its just what you like

take a dry rag to the dry, gloss paint job on your car.

abrasion of any sort will scratch any gloss finish.

care for them like you care for your tins and you won't have a problem
