you have me foaming at the mouth for my stuff to come back from joe.

i love the bars and they look badass pushed forward like that.

i asked this to you on another thread, but how easy/tough is it to take that rigid rack on and off? any marks on the sides of the fenders?

Thumbs up

Some of you may have been following this thread of the projects that I have been working on the past couple months. Below are some higher quality pics I've taken of the finished project.

Thank you you to JRK5892 for the great powder coat work and the answering questions for me during assembly. Thank you to Mud for some great detailed posts on how to disassemble and assemble the front forks. Also to Rounder, Gary7 and WS6 Formula for great advice as always. Not sure I could have done this without some of their previous threads. I'm sure I've forgotten to thank someone, my apologies. I've put a lot of labor into this and have found it very rewarding. Kinda sad to see it over with.......for now

OHHH $HIT... Thanks to my Wife for allowing me to do all this and putting up with me not helping and working in the garage for days. She rocks!

I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has. It's only right I return all the favors that this forum has given me

Reese, your bike looks awesome bud, you did a great job on showing the pics to us too, thanks man and keep up the great work....

Yo-
It's not difficult but it’s not quick either. The rack goes between the fender and the fender struts. You have to remove the 4 bolts that hold the fender in place. I also had to lift the bike to lower the rear wheel to allow the bolts to slide out. It’s best to do with a second person, a wife, gf (but not both) or kid would do. Just to hold the rack so nothing gets scratched while you’re doing the install.
I preferred this rack over any other. I had a Motherwell on for less than a week before selling it and installing this one. The quick detachable items are nice, but I didn’t care for the appearance of the additional hardware that is needed to make it all work. This rack looks very clean, and you could stand on it if you wanted.

You can also get the passenger pillion that snaps onto it. That is main reason why I got rid of my Motherswell rack and went with the rigid one. I can now haul items on the back and then go to 2-up in a matter of seconds.

BTW - The bike looks great!!

Looks bitchin'! I really like your battery cover band. Did it come that way or did you have it powdercoated? If you had it coated, how did you get the raised parts to stay in raw metal?
