OK I'm mad someone has stole my belated Pop's ACC helmet out of my shed. That's just sorry why would someone steal just a helmet, gloves, a jacket and a bandanna all my Pop's. Not any tools, the bike or any think ells just that.
I got a Fulmer 3/4 (that I found out has been discontinued when I went to order a new face shield) ... wear that from about November through February/March or if I expect it to rain much ...
Else ... if it's above about 45 degrees, I usually wear an el-cheapo skid lid ... has a DOT sticker on it ... I probably look like a ***** or a mushroom head in it, but what the he11 ...
I usually wear a neoprene face wrap or a bandana ... even once it warms up .... I rode a couple hundred miles bare faced without a windshield or fairing and my face was filthy from road dirt and debris ....
Yup, ACC half DOT helmet. It's the smallest most comfortable helmet I ever had. I used to complain about the wind hurting my ears with half helmets but for some reason it's not an issue with this one. Will not look like a mushroom on your head. Ya, it isn't cheap but well worth it. Just measure around your head with a string or fabric tape measure and look on the size chart for the correct helmet size. You can fine tune the helmet with the pads that come with it. You will not be disappointed.
