KK so NC is making me get my bike inspected now and might be a good thing because taking the bike in for its inspection i found out that my Brake light isnt working. So with that said the question i have is.... My running light works therefore power is getting to the light (dim Red) but when the front or Rear brake is applied it isnt getting brighter. i have traced all my wires and nothing is wrong in that department therefore i have to assume it is a switch either the front or rear brake switch. Anyone have any other ideas or ways to check for this? i am open to anything i just want to expire all options prior to having to take it into the shop!..
Yes the bulb first!! Remember brake light is dual and sigs are single filament.
If the bulb is good and you have a run/brake/turn module try removing the module and see if it work because even though I haven't had a problem with mine I've heard the HD kits have issues.
i have looked at the bulb.. Looked Great but i will get a new one tom just to make sure..
Where do i find the Run, Brake turn mod?
Also when i remove that bulb is there a special tool for it or should i say how do you removed it from the holder??
Two black plastic pcs on the sides// i assume i have to push these in and pull bulb but somone correct me if i am wrong!
Well if you're asking, um do you have one?? Do your turn sigs run as running lights also?? If so then you have one. The module is under the seat. It should look like a little box maybe 1" x 1" and 1/2" thick. It has a big connector on one end and a smaller one on the other. Total length with wire is about 6 inches. Unclip the module and remove it then plug the wires in the bike back together. It's all plug and play. Hope that helps because it's be a couple years since I looked at mine. I'll go snag a pic right now since I don't have a seat.
