Default did i measure wrong?

Okay something isn't right... cause i can't find any cables the sizes that i measured after dry fitting my bars.

I followed the cables exactly from housing to housing with twine and measured the twine and came up with these measurements for my 09 street bob. (i got 18" stripper apes)

75" clutch
55" Break
50' Throttle idle.

did i do something wrong or am i really going to have to special order my cables?

66.69" clutch stock
30.5" throttle stock
I don't have the brake line length stock.
stock lines still on the bike?
anyways add about 6-8" to those measurements. You got 18" bars if I remember correctly? so get 74-76" clutch, 38" throttle, and I think a 48" brake will work great without being too long or short. IMHO the stock brake lines are a little too long. remember with stock lines you have a couple extra inches to play with on length.
how in the world did you come up with 50 on throttle?

Greetings,

Check with a local indy...I know a couple of the indy's around here make their own braided cables. Or, if you check ebay there's a company on there that specializes in cables, apes, and such. Several members have gotten cables and complete bar/cable packages from them.

i plan on re-measuring all tonight.

found a 74 in drag catalog. IMHO get the cables from your dealer, they will sell drag specialties items. Look up what you want in the fatbook and order it. This is how I get my cables, J&P is not cheaper than your dealer(both sell at drag MSRP) and no shipping charges from dealer.

yeah, probably do it through a local indy if i am going to do that.

i have a J&P gold card, so i get a discount and i am ordering new 43 tanks and front fender for the rigid. so there will be no shipping cost anyways.

For my 16" Burly Narrow's I went with 74" Clutch 54" Brake and 39.5" Throttle/Idle, got them from Hill Country Customs in Texas.

and how much slack do you have.... throttle number is way wrong! i think i measured the entire cable length, not just housing to housing.
