Default Late winter mods.

Got my 16" apes delivered today, still waiting for my SE 180 tire and my suicide clutch and jockey shifter to be delivered and get a few more things to finish up my mods and then tear it all apart. Maybe I'll lower it but I think I'll wait till I put on the 180 tire and see what kind of clearence I have. I'll post pictures as I go along. Any tips, comments or advice are welcome.

I'm interested in seeing the shifter, not sure I could ride with it but I think they're cool.

Ok I've installed the suicide clutch and the jockey shifter and installed some new footpegs, waiting for the matching brake pedal and shifter peg which I will use for the clutch padal. Ran into one glitch though, the shifter stick when shifting hits the ignition coil cover if I remove the cover it's ok. Maybe I'll just leave the cover off and paint the coil. To much crome there anyway Found this old door **** years ago that I hung onto thinking I could find a use for it. And guess what I did, just need to clean it up and get it threaded.

Tomorrow I'll start on the 16" apes.

Day 2 working on the apes. Starting to put everything back together. Man I didn't realize all the little details involved, but everything is starting to piece back together. I think the hardest part for me was those damn little conectors you have to take apart to extend the wires. Thanks to HD Forums and a little patience I finally got it. Tomorrow I'll put the tank back on and a few minor adjustments I'll be back on the road. I'll report back tomorrow after I get er done.

Excuse the mess.

Big project. Turning out nice. You don't see too many Dyna's with suicide clutches. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished bike.

You can heat up and bend your shifter with a torch so it does not hit the ignition. It looks like a LaBriola setup you have there. Looking good. I love the 16"'s too. Who makes the peg you are putting on the foot clutch? I love the look.

Looking good. I've been thinking about those pegs after seeing them on Tweakin's bike this last summer.
