I have an 03 anniversary edition low rider and when I bought it used it had the battery cover and electronic panel in chrome. Was that the stock cover or have they been changed?
I perfer the looks of the new bobs with the black box and chrome band but am not sure if they would fit. Do they make a black cover and just a chrome band for the 03 or would I have to try mount an later model cover and band. Also, does the electronic panel come in black. I think I've seen a black electronic cover with the 4 chrome screws showing somewhere on the forum.
Stock covers were chrome for the Low Rider in '03. FXD and FXDX had black covers, maybe you can find someone who will swap with you. Dealers may be able to order the black ones for you as well. Don't recall seeing a battery cover band for the pre '06 models.
Both covers on the '06 and up models are different from '03.

fxd, fxdc, fxdx all came without battery covers.http://www.harley-davidson.com/brows...bmLocale=en_US the cover that says for dyna models and is chrome with a black lower band is the only cover that is one piece and will fit the pre 06 models.
