So then am I to take away that the samsons don't have AR? Could be the new guy ness, just trying to decipher what you all are saying

I don't know of any pipes that come with the AR cones in them . Typically when one adds AR cones to their bike , they are placed in the headers , where they bolt on to the head . I just bought a Thunderheader , and it has a anti reversion baffle . I could be wrong , but I think that the only pipe you will find with this type of baffle will be a two into one .

+1 on that.....the AR cones are an aftermarket purchase that you place in the exhaust pipe where it bolts to the heads. They are most commonly used when you are running straight drags (no baffles) to prevent reversion that would normally be handled through the back pressure created by baffles/muffler. The issue about using them with twincams is apparently related to the shape of the head on the post 2002 bikes - I can't comment on this though cuz I've only used the AR cones on an evo.
i just bought a set of samson pomonas in flat black ($179 on ebay) brand freakin new in the box never opened........looks great, sounds even better. can't keep my *** off the fxd now. my family thinks im crazy for riding in this cold *** weather, even the ones that have bikes. but anyway i can't say anything about the quality of there crome or there durabilty (only had them for a few weeks) but i couldn't beat the price, so heres to samson........
I have a set of Sampson SS BG3's and they sound good but the heat shields suck A$$. The shields are tack welded to the actual pipe and when the shields hit anything the tack welds break creating cracked pipes. I couldn't keep up on the fixing the cracks so I whacked off the shields and started over by black header wrap and black paint. I do not recommend these pipes !!!

not sure if all the pipes are the same but mine are held in place with hose clamps just like the stock pipes.
