Rear Brake Light

Rear Brake Light
Started the bike yesterday just to let it run a while and was checking all my lights. When I hit the rear brake pedal the brake light didn't come on until I applied pretty hard pressure. The bike is in a non-heated garage in Cincinnati and it has been pretty cold lately. Could the temperature affect the brake fluid enough to cause this? It wasn't like this in the riding season(warmer weather). Thanks for the help.

there is a little electronic switch that could be going bad...my rear brake on my buell was sparatic when i used my front brake lever but would come on with the rear brake no problem...the little switch was broke and would only cause the light to come on if i pulled it really hard which was hard to do while riding...it was a 11.00 fix, just a thought...something to check.

there is a little electronic switch that could be going bad...my rear brake on my buell was sparatic when i used my front brake lever but would come on with the rear brake no problem...the little switch was broke and would only cause the light to come on if i pulled it really hard which was hard to do while riding...it was a 11.00 fix, just a thought...something to check.
