I bought a whole exhaust system the other day to get these slipons, I like the look of the slipons but cant find any info on what they are.
I have given the part # to my local dealer and they cant find any info, so i was wondering if anyone on here might be able to help?
The part # is 80402-01
they say 80 decibles for har fxd1340/1450
I dont think they are anything special, I like the sound but they killed the performance of my stock 03 Lowrider. just trying to find info on them, Thanks for the help.
If you went from stock mufflers to these you may want to re-jet. You probably lost some back pressure and may be running lean. Is it soft on the bottom end (less grunt taking off)? Surging, hesitation or backfire? If it still pulls hard with out pinging at full throttle your main jet is probably OK. you may just need to move the needle in the slide to bring back what's been lost.
Thanks it is sluggish on the bottom and mid, but i was also wondering if anyone had a way to find that part #, I have even tried harley.com with no luck.
I figured I would need to rejet with these pipes as my bike is totally stock still.
That part number is most likely obsolete as the 01 at the end refers to 2001. If you're lucky someone out there still has a 2001/2002 accessory catalog and can look them up.
Thanks guys, I like the look, so now to get it rejetted..
I got the entire exhaust system ( heat shields, pipes, slip ons everything for $70.00).
decent price I thought, but figured I would need a re jet.
