Does anyone know if HD has the entire upper fork assembly as a kit, and what part number it would be. Also, I can't find any aftermarket companies that carry the newer 49mm fork tubes. You would think that since they have been around since 2006 someone would be handeling them by now.

The only 'assembly' of parts listed in my 09 Dyna parts book as a single part number are the fork tubes.

I too am having a very hard time finding upper fork tubes , since i wrecked last august. also,, im looking for a tank and duel headlamps if anybody here knows,, please respond !
a friend of mine bought fork tubes from the stealer for around 70 a piece after his accident last year, i know the complete assemblies were around 350 a piece if remember correctly
I know this is an older post, came across it doing a search as it says in the title. I am hoping that some one can help me with the following. I have a set of 2008 FXDF 49mm triple trees & lower legs. My plan is to use them on an earlier(1998) Daytec Softail project I am working on.
What I need to know in order to put my front end together is the stock FXDF fork tube lenght for refference. There is aftermarket companies that make the 49mm fork tube assemblies, but they are only listed for the 2006 up FXDWG, 2" under through 6" over. Not sure, but I think the only difference between the two models besides the obvious lower legs, might be tube lenght.
