Default Dyna Swingarms

Can someone help me out here, instead of spending $250-350 for a chrome swing arm, I want to buy a standard black one off flea bay or a swap meet and have it chromed. How "universal" are dyna swingarms? This would be for an 06 FXDWG. Would any dyna framed bike from 06 work or not. Is there a range of years that work? You guys get what I'm asking?!

Swing arm is the same for all 06+ Dynas but I think it will probally cost more to buy a used one and have it chromed.

They start at 99 cents on up on ebay! usually the oem ones are about $20 to $50 range. I can't imagine Browns plating would charge $200 to chrome it......i dunno, maybe I'm wrong

Ya maybe not but I would get a price before I bought one. Usually runs $350 or so for one wheel so not sure how much easier a swing arm would be.

I've done alot of research on chrome parts. I have bought all of my chrome parts from a guy on ebay and I can tell you from experience that his chrome is a helluva alot better than the MOCO. Keep an eye on his listing because he is always putting up different chrome parts at a really good price.

I've had Browns chrome a few parts on my bike, they're not cheap, but the quality is outstanding! Your probably looking at $300 for them to chrome a swingarm. If your interested in a black oem swingarm let me know, I have one.

Why not just polish your's? Polish looks better than chrome anyway.

He even has a chrome swingarm for 06+ dyna listed currently. Course it is over what the OP is looking to spend.
