What doesn't make sense to me is spending a buttwad of cash on some rims when with the stock FXDF front end, the new shiny rim would be almost completely obscured by the dual discs and the rear is hidden by the rotor on one side and the sprocket on the other.

Seems a waste to spend that kind of money on something you can't really see to enjoy. I'm speaking aestetically. I know 'we' spend all kinds of cash on performance parts which we can't generally see but sure feel.

They are nice looking rims though.

That's why I want the 18's... the dual breaks don't bother me because I plan to get cool looking rotors ......buttwad of cash will be spent on rims and after that a buttwad of cash will be spent on bore kit/cams/tuner....this is a love I have for my bike...I like riding and changing out parts to suit me...I have the means but not much on the know how...thats why I ask questions here and have found a lot of sound advice....

Sorry but I don't remember what tire sizes I am running. Hogpro was VERY helpful in selecting what wheel sizes/tires I needed. I believe the guys name was Chris but I could be wrong on that. They also returned all emails and phone calls. Very good customer service after the order was placed.

Thanks alot!!!!!It's been alot of work but the bike has turned into something really special. I can't wait until I get the motor put back together and lay a rubber strip down the middle of the street. ....
