Default How do I take these off?

So I bought a fender rack for my wide glide P/N 79078-02, and my question is how do I take the damn turn signals off?

I tried earlier today. There's a nut inside the fender that comes off and slides on the wires, I disassembled the turn signal housing but the extensions wont come out... Am I missing something?

If you guys have taken these off before, please... a little insight would really help.

UPDATE!

Yeah, the left side blinker came off just like most of you guys said it would. The pain is with the right side. It wont back out and yes, i believe it is broken. I unfortunately dont have the tools to take it out. Looks like its going to have to be a dealer install... crap. Thanks all... I appreciate your help.

Extensions plug into the rear/brake light housing, so you have to disassemble that...unless you're talking about a hardware issue in which case I don't fully understand the problem.

If you follow the wire it will lead you to the taillight assembly at which point, you remove the two screws holding the taillight cover on and there you could have simply unplugged the wires. Pull the wires back into the fender and you'd be able to remove the nut and remove the turn signal assembly from the strut. Remember Herman Munster...the knee bone's connected to the shin bone.

The nut out by the light housing unscrews away from the housing, reach up under the fender and pull the wires out of the plastic cover on the inside of the fender, find where the wires was cut before, cut them there, now the housing will come off by pulling the wires out of the stem with the housing of the light. Now all that is on the bike is the stem, Two flat spots on the stem should be visible now for a wrench to fit those was under that big chrome nut you loosened to get the light fixture off. Remove the nut from the inside of the fender off the stem (it shouldnt even have/need one since there is a bracket that acts as a nut tucked up under the fender for the lights and the shock mounts as well as the fender), the stem will unscrew from the bike.

thats how it was on my bike anyhow.

Good stuff... where's the shin bone again?

I'll get to it soon and post back with success or WTF?

Yeah see... I tried that. But when I take the housing off the extension and turn the two flat spots (1/2 in wrench) the whole extension just spins and doesn't back out. I pulled, turned, and hammered (lightly) and nothing.

you know, you might just cut the wires and then unscrew the stem out of the bike, taking the whole thing off. And it most likely has lock tight on the threads.
