Buy the bike you can't walk away from is my advice always. You can listen to others but everyone has different comfort likes, is why so many different configurations out there. With vehicles I don't do pure sensable, but rather by emotion and a splash a of sensability, there is always more satisfaction/enjoyment that way. Unless you are the type that relish in pure sensability which I am not.
The T Bird looks cool, might ride smoother and all that. But I have had my share of smooth riding fast bikes and I simply love the ride, the feel, the vibes of my HD. Its all part of the package. So if you prefer a smooth riding bike and all that, buy one. I do know a lawyer buddy of mine bought a new Triumph and has ridden it all over. But when he rides with us Hog riders he sticks out like a sore thumb, and to me, its not in a good way, but to each his own. Nothing wrong with Triumph, its just not for me. If I buy another bike I'm going back in time and getting an old Ironhead or Panhead.
no way the english ****....
but if you do than i would buy the speed tripple....
but i love my fat bob more... and it's a better investment....
the hd loses less money.......
so buy the triumph... and become a member on the triumph forum....
maybee you get in toch with the other 15 triumph riders.... lol....
here in the netherlands if you buy a harley.... you buy a way of life....
and if you buy a triumph... you buy a motorcycle... of a foreign country....
Harley (wannabe) riders are funny, I got news for you, it aint as cool as some of you think it is to ride a Harley, your nothing special your bike is nothing special "Harley is a way of life" heres a retard from the Netherlands talking ****, Harley is an American way of life, not a Netherland way of life...Funny how when some dudes get a Harley, all of the sudden they are way cooler than any one else who rides anything else.. Truth be told I love my Harley! (and would never sell it ever) but they are over priced, overwieght, underpowered oil leaks. FACT
As far as sticking out like a sore thumb (in a bad way) you sound like a snobby little high school girl whose going to ignore the new girl cause she different... whoo who
Sometimes im embarrassed to ride a Harley..not because its a Harley, but because of other Harley riders with those dumb *** attitudes....

I understand what you say about some riders but truth be told, my bike doesn't leak oil and yes I have owned other brands of bikes so I'm not just brand loyal and trust me, there are arseholes that ride all brands of bikes. On to what the OP was asking. I would suggest that you test ride both bikes if you can. Both bikes are very nice but they are different. It all depends on what you're looking for and what your personal preference is.
Had a '69 650 Bonnie that was chopped (by me) and a '68 650 that was dead stone stock. Loved both of them. Sold the chop and bought a '67 FL that was a rolling basket case, then sold the '68 to pay for the motor and tranny rebuild. Still have the '67 and added a 2008 FXDC. Love both of them even more!

Could not have put it better myself. Though I might consider an old classic Triumph.
