Proper clutch adjustment
I was out playing with my wifes fat boy and was noticing that I have to let the clutch halfway out before it ever starts pulling.... So I got my fat bob out and noticed as soon as I let the clutch out less than a 1/4" it starts to pull... So what I want to know is what is the proper way??? My bike has 2500 miles on it, hers has 3000... Any help would be appreciated as I dont want to put a new clutch in one of them before I have to.. Note that hers has the Diamond Back clutch cable and mine has a cable that was made by Hill Country...

As long as the clutch releases fully when you pull it in it will be fine. I have small hands myself so running down the left downtube of the frame follow the clutch cable you should have a rubber gromet of some sort over the cable. Lift the rubber gromet up and you'll need two wrenches and you can adjust how far you want the clutch lever to be set at. I had to bring my clutch lever in about an inch from where it was so it was comfortable for my riding.
The manual explains it well but I also found these links to be real helpful.

both release points are fine. you can fine tune yours by loosening the cable a little(1/4-1/2 turn) and change your release point to hers, or you can tighten hers a little and change her release point. Just loosen the adjustor on the cable, start the bike, turn the adjustor loose a bit and then put into gear to check the release point, continue till it's exactly where you want it. This is a small amount of adjustment, the play in the cable should be within 1/16 to 1/8 inch
