try the bub pipes...no negative feedback like the samsons. The jug huggers look very similar to the samsons above, yet turnout so they are even cooler looking. The lakester line is really nice too...

I have a set of the Samson Sinister Shorty's on my bike and I love them. Although mine are the ceramic coated black, I have a buddy with chrome rip saws and he hasn't had any issues.

I have 2 sets of Samson street sweepers for my wide glide. One set of originals chromed with no baffles or heat shields and a set of black BG3's with baffles and heat shields. I love them, have never had any issues. Get your bike tuned correctly and you wont have any bluing issues. I have had the chrome ones on for 2 yrs with no bluing and thats without heat shields. The originals sound so much better than the BG3's. Best sounding pipe out there IMO.

good pipes. They have a good reputation(bub) for sound and performance. Any uneven length pipe wont be all that great in low end torque. They probably perform about like the samsons.

Had the chrome 2 1/4 Ripsaws on my '99 FXDX. Loved the way they "cleared" the road. Loved the sound.

I am having the same issue. I like the legend series street sweepers, but have gotten the same mixed reviews. Thinking that i am just going to have to pull the trigger on this one and find out for myself. Let us know what you decide

I'm thinking about installing Original Big Guns on my SB. Would torque cones compensate for the low end loss?

That is the thinking. Do these pipes have baffles or not? I have found that torque cones help but do not replace the need for baffles.

I had Samson Big Guns on my Sportster. Sound great looked great. Plan to replace them with another set for the Dyna.
