I was off work AND the temps were sunny and in the mid sixties!! So of course I got the chance to back the bike out. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic but I had to get something to commemorate the weather actually breaking
and don't it feel great? I got about 150 miles on her yesterday. What a beautiful day to ride! I started out in the morning and it was still in the 40's, some people looked at me like I was crazy - but I just didn't care.
Awesome! I can completely relate. I got mine out of storage on monday, (thank God, as we had a blizzard out here). It wawas a great ride home in the mid 50's. Cant wait for the weekend.
I know man...I picked my bike up from storage here on Sunday, took my kid on a little tool around town and errand run on Monday, and ran down to the Union Hotel just for fun yesterday...all together I put about 170 mile on my baby - and it was so nice to finally relax.
Put in about 210 miles this past Saturday. Started the day with 11 riders. Had a ball. I never really stored my bike for the winter. Every time the temp got up to at or close to 50F, I rode. Granted, there wasn't that many days with high enough temps due to global warming and all. I started a couple of rides in the 30's but on both occasions it ended up close to 60. I'm looking forward to riding this summer so much that I decided to retire in June. Won't be posting much after then. I'LL BE RIDING!!!!!!
Didn't quite hit the 60"s here, but has been mostly dry up here the last 8 days or so (other than a little snow which was gone within a couple hours yesterday). 200 miles on the Dyna, 500+ on the new Uly and 300 or so on the Street Glide. Don't mind riding in the rain or the cold, just not a big fan of riding in the rain AND cold when I can help it. Close call on some black ice last year...
same here. had temps in the mid 50's this past weekend in new jersey. got 2 rides in with the new stage 1 and rush slip-ons. it was like riding a whole new bike.
think i had a stupid grin on my face the whole time i was out. man, i am counting the days till spring, and this cold stuff is behind us.
Hit the mid 50s here today and rained until about noon. By the time I got home streets were dry. Took it out for an hour or so to try out the new rush slip ons. Louder is more relaxing in my book.
