Hey fellow Dyna owners.
I,ve been working on my 05 wide glide now for about a year. You know slow but sure but getting there $$. My next item is the head light. There are so many choices,so many looks. Sugestions?? Pictures of your headlight? I have gone to a Chrome and gold flame look. If I ever get my home computer to load up these pictures I'll post. Thanks for any sugestions. Stay safe out there...

Mojo, what year is your bike? I have an 05 Low rider and have toyed around with the idea of getting another headlight. The cover over my headlight keeps wanting to rub off the coating around the braided cable. I like the hooded headlight, but might do without if I see something I like. The ones in the Harley catalog won't fit.

Well,... I paid around $50 for my all chrome headlight assembly that I got from a local independant bike shop. It is from Drag Specialities. I like the look and really liked the price. There was no way I was gonna shell out between $300 -$375 for a new light.

I bought a headlight assembly from Tradewinds (Headwinds owned and made, just cheaper version)

headwinds.com

check the July special on the top

when I called I asked the difference between the special and a Headwinds Bradley Bullet and the guy said, they are the same except the Headwinds has a slightly better polished chrome or some such crap.

looks great and was an easy install.

John
Is your headlight assembly just a case or does it come with bulb and wiring as well?

i've always like the headwinds with the one piece visor style. if they had it with the t/s intergrated in them, that would be sweet. it would really clean the frontend up. imo.

It came with everything needed, bulb included. I had to use the factory mounting block because it was taller than the one included, but after using it and a couple of washers that came with it all went easily enough. I actually ordered one that looked identical to the one that I have but it had the visor trim ring but the guy who I ordered it from screwed up and ordered the plain one, but it's ok,....just not the one I really wanted. Matter of fact I have seen the exact same light assemblies in the J&P catalog.
