Sorry to hear this... Next time you get to come out this way give me a hollar. We'll find some backroads to tear up....
My dad just built a house on Canyon Lake and retired up there; my daughter may be going to Texas State and living with him next fall. I have been riding motorcycles for 40 of my 47 years, street bikes for about 25 years and have never ridden in the Hill Country and was looking forward to it. I WILL DEFINITELY let you know when I get up that way with my bike. Went to Dealer this a.m. and he said it will probably be in the shop a couple of weeks. It's amazing how much expensive cosmetic damage a 5-10 mph dump can do!
BFM, I feel for you. Glad your ok. If you took a poll I think the #s of people that have gone down are sky high, everone has done something. I hope the ins co. pays for the damage. As far as it happening at work, It figures, when you hit that great tee shot or snag a big bass nobody sees it, but $&%^ like that always happens when people are around.
It's a terrible feeling. I laid my BMW down a few weeks ago in a crowded parking lot. There I was laying flat on my back looking up at the sun and wondering how the hell I just did that. Saying I felt like and idiot doesn't begin to describe it. Not a scratch on me though so I felt real lucky. You can kick yourself or just get back up, fix it, forget about it and ride.
dude sorry to hear about your fall...to make matters worse it's been beautiful weather here in TX...don't feel bad though, I was brought down by a basketball...it was nighttime, the road was dark and hit the basketball sqaure on...handlebars jerked and I flew over...$1500 in damages...to add insult to injury the accident made the frontpage of my small town newspaper...have never been so embarrassed (I'm the roadcaptain of a local mc)...hope my stupid story makes you feel better bro...glad your ok and glad to hear your bob will be up and running in a couple of weeks...
