I have a turn signal problem. When I turn on the ignition the right turn signal comes on. Press the switch and nothing happens. Press the left switch and sometimes the left comes on and the right goes out, sometimes the emergency flashers come on. Press the left again and they both go out. I have switched out all the bulbs and cleaned the connections. I have a module that turns your rear signals into both brake lights and signals so I disconnected that. Still had the problem. Anyone got any ideas?
Check out the wiring on the insides of the sides of the rear fender. Lots of instances of these wires getting skinned and shoring out.
I just went and felt up under the fender. I have the wide tire kit but the wires feel ok. They are pulled up tight against the fender.

I washed it last weekend, but I've been riding it all week. I think tomorrow morning I'm going to try some contact cleaner. Other than that it's off to the indy in the morning.
I went through similar and even stranger symptoms last year. Just about the time I was gonna just give up, I removed the elec. cover and started tugging wires. I found a ground wire just loose enough on the post that once I tightened it, solved problem that had me going nuts for over a year.
Hello Dhellyer08,
I have the exact same issue with my Road King. Did you find the cause? It has been driving me crazy. I've been told it's either a shorted bulb, shorted switch, short in the wiring, or the TSSM.
Please let me know if you found the problem.
I had that same problem during a lont trip last summer. Ended up being a short in the right rear turn signal housing. If the wiring in the housings looks ok, could be pinched in the controls as they make a few twists/turns in that area.
