I would stay away from the downloads. They are designed for the screaming eagle slip ons and will be incorrect for your setup. They may be close but your bike could still be running to rich or worse to lean. You wont know unless you put it on a dyno. Try the fuelpak or Xieds, there simple and the maps will be closer than the downloads.
...just wondering if any of you had gotten the harleys stag 1 download or even got it dyno...i just want to get it to run cooler
Lots of people complain that the download doesn't work well with non-Harley parts, and I would take their word for it. Concerning running cooler, I think with Harley parts the download does help the bike run cooler. I got the download, along with the SE Stage 1 A/C and SE slip-ons this past week. The download works fine; the bike runs great. Out of curiosity, I measured the temperature of the rear cylinder at the head pipe with my infrared thermometer before and after the upgrade. The temperature of the cylinder was 30 degrees F less after the upgrade.
I have the stage 1 air cleaner and VH big radius 2-2 pipes and done the download and my bike runs perfect... No back fire, popping or cracking and after running it for about 30 miles in high 40 degree weather and checked the plugs and they was a dark tan like everyone on here has said they needed to be... So when it warms up it should richen up some and be spot on.
