They should fit just fine. Like another poster said you will likely need to use a thick washer to space them away from the belt guard. Make sure you space the top and bottom of the shock evenly. I know they are actually 3/4" shorter than the road glide shocks and I believe they have less travel so they will bottom out easier than the road glide shocks especially if you have a passenger.
Wyde Glyde, did the shocks raise the rear of your bike up? I realized after purchasing the RK shocks that they are 1" taller than my stockers and am curious if being an air shock, when they are not full of air if they tend to give more sag, hence making them about the same height as stock WG shocks. Any clues? I just dont wanna have to buy a lowering kit to get back to stock height if I dont have to.
I installed a set of HD air shocks on my Low Rider. The ride was amazing. But 2-up she was a NO-GO! Could not handle the weight and bottomed out over even the smallest bumps on the interstate. When you mount them on a Dyna, they are quite a bit farther forward than where they are meant to be located on a touring bike. So the leverage of a heavy passanger WAY behind the shock (as opposed to being directly over the shock on a touring bike) was too much. Just something to think about if you do alot of two up riding. If your all about solo, the ride is smooth as glass.
Thanx for the input Bikerlaw. Was the ride bad two up even with the shocks fully aired up? Good info man!

No, the ride was never bad. It was silky smooth. If your an agressive rider, you may not like the soft plush ride. I liked it. I pumped them all the way up to 45 and 50 lbs, but my wife weighs in at well over 200 lbs when she's dressed out in leathers. Hit bumps and potholes on the interstate at 70 mph and you'll bottom those suckers right out. I switched to 440's. I may be wrong but I thought it was WS6 who posted some pics of his bike with him on it and off it for comparison. The pics showed how much sag the air shocks have. But, thats why they ride so smooth. You just can't overload them when they are mounted to a Dyna chassis due to their location.
Thanks for such a detailed explanation! I ride alone 95% of the time so Im not too worried about the 2 up issues, and I do love me a cushy ride, so sounds like im in for a treat!

Yup it raised the rear of my bike up. I think stock WG shocks are 12" and the '09 Ultra shocks are 13" (someone correct me if I'm wrong on those numbers).
I think I could have gotten Street Glide shocks (I think they're lower) or the HD lowering air shocks instead but I paid $35 for these '09 Ultra shocks and they had a total of like 9 miles on them -- couldn't pass up the deal.
When you sit on the bike it squats back down and looks normal.
