I was just finishing up tucking the wires back into the neck of the bike and they just didn't want to cooperate. So in looking for an alternative to just trying to shove them back in i noticed a plastic access pannel under the backbone above the rocker so i revoved it and was feeding what i thought was slack from the wires and out popped a flat 3 prong connector all red wires. F**K i'm guessing it was the main power from the battery. No power at all to the bike. So can anyone tell me where I can find the end to this connector. I was pulling wire to the back of the bike when it came loose so i believe it is up near the neck. what is the easiest way to find it. Thanks
I would disconnect the battery and fish in a hook tool to see if you can pull any slack on the plug. If not, you'll have to go in backwards and fish the plug you have back through. Once you get it check for blown fuses. I haven't been there so hopefully you'll have some luck.
That would be your ignition switch wiring harness. I can't imagine a way to reconnect to the ignition switch while everything is still in the neck. Instead of fighting it and going through the frustration, I would just remove the switch, reconnect the wiring, the reinstall the switch.
There is a trim ring which can be remove if you heat it up with a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Be careful as they are easily bent. Once the trim ring is removed, you can see a retaining ring. There is a special tool designed to remove this ring, but I just use the tips from a pair of needle nose pliers. Once this ring is removed, you can work the ignition switch free from the frame. When you reinstall the switch, make sure your fork lock is properly aligned before you tighten the retaining ring.

I have mine unplugged right now they are the main power wires to the ignition , in the neck on the opposite side of the ignition you will feel a metal clip and that's where there other end is , you have to somehow plug it back in but as you know there is no room for more than 2 fingers

Thanks, Is there access to it from the bottom side of the neck where the plastic cover is above the rocker? So do I have to remove the ignintion? It took no pressure at all to pull it loose. Does anyone have a visual? This thing is really bothering me
Try some long curved needle nose pliers and see if you can plug it back on first...but you have to be Houdini to do it. Oh yeah...pull your maxi fuse before you really FUBAR the ignition.
Then whenever you are at those cheap discount dollar stores and see those wierd really long cheap chinese made needle nose pliers for $1 buy every different size they have. I have 6 different pairs of them that work great for all the times I FUBAR stuff.
Go buy a $2 cheap dental mirror & use a light and the mirror to look up there. You can plug it back in if you get creative. Then post back how you did it.

Well I was able to get it back on, thanks for your help everyone. It wasn't as hard as I imagined. I routed the wire back towards the neck and pulled the plastic cover down and made sure that the groove on the plug was facing the ignition and pushed it back on by hand no need for the pliers. I guess tht I was just lucky to get it on the first try. Now what is the secret to getting all the wires to fit back into the neck?????
