Anybody using lowering blocks on their Street Bob? Can you recommend a good dealer?...Saw these on eBay..the price is right and his feedback is great but what do you think about them being aluminum..wouldn't steel be better?...Bill...
I have a set on my Superglide from Tamarack machine works. They are an ebay seller. I highly recommend them. Was as described, quick ship, everything as it was supposed to be. Product looks excellent, and have had 0 problems using them for a couple seasons now.
I love those. I bought those last month and love it. I get the 1.75", because my shocks are 12.6" instead of 12" from your bike.
Get it, you won't regret, and the combination stock shock and lowering kit is great, not as hard as lower shocks IMO like Progressive 512.

We put a set of those exact blocks on my gf's 2000 a couple of weeks ago. When we were down in Daytona recently we stopped at J&P Cycles. They carry the LA Customs version - damned if either of us could see any difference at all except the price.
Yeah, I slide the forks 1'5". Bike looks good and almost parallel to the floor
You ment 1.5" right?
I've got mine slid up the trees 1" with 1.75" blocks in the rear.
My boards & exhaust are mount kinda high... they never scrap the pavement.
I've been thinking about lowering my bob, but I also want to do the 180 tire next change. Am I going to have clearance issues under the fender? The wiring is tight, and I'm using stock shocks.
I installed 1" lowering blocks from ebay...I liked them...I did notice a difference...I would've loved to lower 1.75 but the site didn't suggest that for bobs...and that's good since my bike rubs a bit on hard bumps...I haven't adjusted the shocks...anyway I like the look...cheaper than new shocks...good bang for buck (IMHO)
I put the 1" lowering blocks from lbm on the rear and put in the progressives drop-ins in the front which lowered the front 2".I love how the bike sits now and handles much better now.I ride 2 up alot also and never bottom...all i did is increase the preload 1 click...heres some pics
