Here's a tip I got from some graybeards a long time ago. Every time you come to a stop, remove your feet from the pegs and place them on the ground. Not completely sure why it works but it does.

Tad is right, when I put my foot down when I stop I almost never fall. I try to adjust my shoe laces to 10 Lb of torque. You can pick up a shoe lace guage at the dealer for about 30 bucks.

Just don't use a Harley shoe lace guage on non-Harley boots. That's a mistake I'll never make again.

Welcome back to riding. I'm back after about a 15 year break. I've been treating myself as a beginner rider and KNOW that I don't have it all together. I'm being seriously careful and approaching riding with a fair bit of humility as I also know that I won't bounce very well now.

That neutral thing can be a bugger at times, but as was mentioned, mine goes into it easily when I'm moving.
