hell i usually forget to pop it into first when i hit a red light, im talkin, hammerin away and Greeen light, and i either stall out, or sputter through 2nd or 3rd gear
I can totally appreciate that but your advising someone to adjust their clutch cable who is having difficulty finding neutral.
LOL TROO-DAT! doesn't mean he can't do it though! However it can be tough to find neutral when the bike's in 3rd or more, specially if the engine is stopped. I remember once I could have sworn she was in first after tapping down. when i started it up I found out she was in third but wouldn't go any lower since the motor was stopped.
Word of advice JonV,always gear down gradually as you slow down that way your ready to take off if a light turns green , or a mad cager is about to come hurtling in at you (God forbid),and avoid your neutral prob in the meantime.
Another similar issue. When I first put my forward controls on I didn't change to the longer transmission shifter arm and neutral was a lot harder to find. After changing it out - pops right in.
I don't know if this applies, but if its a new bike, it may just be tight at first. I found it a pain to find on both my nightster when it was new, and now with the glide. After a few good rides it seems to be a lot easier to sink in neutral.
