I pick up my 05 Wide Glide tonight from a private seller. First Harley.

I did a lot of research and gleaned a lot of useful information from this and other sites. I now know more about Harley's than the last two or three owners I talked to before choosing this one. I have much to learn yet I'm sure.

I will post pics ASAP, but here are the stats.

05 FXDWGI with about 4k miles. D&D exhaust, high flow air cleaner and a RevTech DFO. It also has S&S 570 gear driven cams. It also has some extra chrome here and there. The guy sold it to me because he wants to buy a new Custom. From the little bit of riding I've done on other Wide Glides of the same year, I can tell those cams really light this engine up.

I plan on doing a lot of work to the bike of course, that's half the fun. Wheels, seat, more chrome, big sucker and a SERT are likely first on the list.

Anyway, thanks for all the help and I look forward to moving from someone who leeches info to someone who, at least occasionally, gives it too.
