Just a guess, but I'd say they worked the rings in from the bottom. The bottom edge of the cylinder has a small bevel. (Make sure you have the gaps set correctly, both directionally spaced and have already ground the ends of the rings so the gap width is correct). If you take a popsickle stick and work the ring in slowly and very carefully, you can compress each one as you come to it, while you move the piston up into the cylinder. Push the middle of the ring in first, and work your way around to each end. (Use the popsickle stick to do the pushing, so as not to scar the rings). Of course, this is just a guess...

Okay, just took the Dyna for teh 50 mile break in ride, rode to Coral Gables in the center of Miami (perfect night for riding tonight)had 2 beers, looked at some horries and rode home. The Tmax is still dialing in so getting a little decel pop and a few back fires. The motor runs quiet, almowt too quiet, much less push rod and valve train noise than stock. Hope I tq'd everything right. The power seems fine bit not near my HQ 107 package, will have to do cams and heads now, I want this bike to scream. Putting a Tmax in a Dyna is a PIA.
